Flexible Application Methods

Choose the Best Technique for Your Process

Spraying Method:

This method is widely used for applying conformal coating to PCB assemblies.
It is suitable only for our product, Conins Acrylcoat AR-30. Easy to use Aerosol:

  1. 1. Hold the aerosol 3–6 inches from the PCB at a slight angle.
  2. 2. Gently press the spray button to apply the coating.
  3. 3. Move your hand smoothly across the PCB for an even single coat.
  4. 4. Let it dry in a ventilated area, ideally under an exhaust hood or near a window.
Brushing Method:

This method is the easiest & most economical method for applying the conformal coatings.
Ideal for batch production and servicing, brushing ensures uniform coating. Thickness varies by application. Available in cans.

  1. 1. Dip the application brush in the can.
  2. 2. Take ample quantity of acrylocat in brush
  3. 3. Apply the conformal coating evenly on the PCB assembly and component.
  4. 4. Leave the component to dry in a well-ventilated area.
Spraying

Dipping

03

Dipping Method:

This method is most suitable for small production or assembly units or shops.

  1. 1. Dip the PCB component in the dip tank containing conformal coating.
  2. 2. Withdraw the component slowly at a uniform rate.
  3. 3. Leave the component to dry in a well-ventilated area.
Dispensing Pump Method:

The dispensing pump method is ideal for large quantities of PCB assemblies. Coating is applied using compressed air (0.5–1 kg) through a spray gun with adjustable angles, suitable for viscosities up to ALQ-100.

  1. 1. Tanks available in 5L and 10L sizes.
  2. 2. Includes user-friendly spray gun.
  3. 3. Low wastage, covers more area.
  4. 4. Air-based spraying — no gas needed.
  5. 5. Eco-friendly — no disposable bottles.

FAQ

Conformal Coating FAQs: Everything Engineers Need to Know

1. What exactly is conformal coating, and why do modern electronics depend on it? +

Conformal coating is a thin, invisible protective layer applied to printed circuit boards (PCBs) to guard them against moisture, dust, chemicals, corrosion, and temperature stress. In today’s compact and high-density electronics, even minor exposure can cause failure — conformal coating acts as the final safety shield that keeps devices reliable, stable, and long-lasting.

2. Why do leading manufacturers choose CONINS India for PCB protection solutions? +

Manufacturers choose CONINS India because our coatings are engineered for real-world conditions, not just lab performance. We combine consistent quality, application ease, strong environmental resistance, and dependable technical support — helping customers reduce failures, rework costs, and downtime across industries.

3. Which conformal coating is best for my PCB application? +

The right choice depends on:

  • Operating temperature
  • Moisture and humidity exposure
  • Vibration and mechanical stress
  • Optical clarity requirements (LEDs, displays)

CONINS India offers multiple acrylic and heavy-duty formulations, and our technical team helps you select the most cost-effective and reliable solution for your exact conditions.

4. How do CONINS conformal coatings perform in high-humidity or harsh environments? +

Our coatings are specifically formulated to create a continuous, moisture-resistant barrier that prevents corrosion, electrical leakage, and electrochemical migration. This makes them ideal for electronics used in coastal areas, industrial plants, automotive systems, marine applications, and outdoor equipment.

5. What is the best method to apply conformal coating for uniform coverage? +
  • Spray coating – uniform coverage on complex PCB layouts
  • Brush coating – repairs and small batches
  • Dip coating – simple board designs
  • Controlled dispensing – high-volume consistency

CONINS coatings are designed to flow smoothly and cure evenly across all standard methods.

6. Can acrylic conformal coatings be removed or reworked later? +

Yes. One of the biggest advantages of acrylic conformal coatings is their reworkability. CONINS acrylic coatings can be removed using approved solvents, allowing safe PCB repair or component replacement without damaging the board — a critical benefit for service and maintenance teams.

7. How does conformal coating improve the lifespan of electronic products? +

By sealing sensitive components from environmental exposure, conformal coating reduces premature failures caused by corrosion, moisture ingress, and contamination. This leads to longer product life, fewer field failures, and improved brand reliability — especially in mission-critical electronics.

8. Which industries use CONINS conformal coatings the most? +

Our coatings are trusted across multiple industries, including:

  • Automotive electronics
  • Industrial automation
  • LED lighting and power electronics
  • Telecommunications
  • Consumer and white-goods electronics
  • Marine and offshore systems
9. Are CONINS conformal coatings compliant with global standards? +

Yes. CONINS conformal coatings comply with RoHS requirements and are manufactured under strict quality controls. Every batch is tested to ensure consistency, performance reliability, and environmental safety — giving customers confidence in long-term use.

10. How can I get technical guidance or request a coating recommendation? +

You can reach out to CONINS India through our contact page, phone, or email to discuss your application. Our technical experts provide practical guidance, product recommendations, and usage support — helping you avoid trial-and-error and get results faster.
